Privacy Policy

This policy covers the public website at aks.software, operated by AKS SOFTWARE LLC. It describes information handled when you browse the site or contact us through it.

It does not cover our software products. Products such as V1VPN will each have a separate, product-specific privacy policy published before release, because a networking application processes different information than a website does. Where this policy refers to product data, it is describing intent, not a current practice.

The website is built to collect the minimum information needed to operate it and to respond to enquiries. We do not ask you to create an account, and we do not sell personal information.

Information falls into two categories:

• Information you provide directly, such as the contents of an email or a message submitted through the contact form.
• Technical information generated automatically when a page is requested, such as server or hosting logs.

The support form asks for your name, email address, the product your message concerns, a subject, and your message. We use this only to understand and respond to your enquiry.

The form is not currently connected to an email service. Submissions are validated in the browser and on the server, and are then discarded without being delivered or stored. The form states this when you submit it. Until an email service is connected, the way to reach us is to email amir@aks.software directly.

If you email us, your message and address are held in our email account for as long as needed to handle the enquiry and to keep a reasonable record of correspondence.

Like most websites, this site is served by a hosting provider that records standard request information. Depending on the provider’s configuration this can include:

• IP address of the requesting device
• Date and time of the request
• The page or asset requested and the response status
• Browser user-agent string and referring page, where the browser sends them

This information is used to deliver pages, keep the site available, and investigate errors or abuse. It is not used to build profiles of visitors or to target advertising.

The website does not set advertising or tracking cookies, and it does not load third-party marketing trackers, behavioural advertising, or session-replay tools.

No analytics product is currently configured. If we add analytics later, we will choose a privacy-respecting option, describe it in this policy, and add a consent mechanism where consent is legally required. A cookie banner is not shown today because there are no cookies that would require consent.

We use information for a limited set of purposes:

• Responding to enquiries, support requests, and business correspondence
• Operating, maintaining, and securing the website
• Diagnosing technical problems and preventing abuse
• Meeting legal, accounting, and record-keeping obligations

We do not use website information for automated decision-making, and we do not sell or rent it.

We rely on a small number of providers to operate the site, including a hosting and content-delivery provider, a domain registrar and DNS provider, and an email provider for correspondence. These providers process information on our behalf, only as needed to deliver their service.

We may also disclose information where we are legally required to, or where necessary to protect our rights, safety, or the integrity of our systems.

We keep information only as long as there is a reason to. Email correspondence is retained while an enquiry is open and for a reasonable period afterwards for reference. Hosting and server logs are retained according to our provider’s default retention period, typically a short window measured in days or weeks.

You can ask us to delete correspondence we hold about you by emailing amir@aks.software, subject to any records we are required to keep.

The website is served over HTTPS. We limit access to correspondence to people who need it, and we use reputable providers with their own security controls.

No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. Please do not send sensitive personal information, credentials, or financial details by email.

AKS SOFTWARE LLC is based in Sheridan, Wyoming, United States, and our providers may process and store information in the United States or other countries. If you contact us from outside the United States, your information will be transferred to and handled in a country whose data-protection laws may differ from those where you live.

Depending on where you live, you may have rights over your personal information, which can include:

• Requesting a copy of the personal information we hold about you
• Asking us to correct information that is inaccurate
• Asking us to delete information we no longer need to keep
• Objecting to or asking us to restrict certain processing
• Withdrawing consent where processing is based on consent

The website is intended for a general business audience and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, email amir@aks.software and we will delete it.

We may update this policy as the website changes or as our practices change. The revised version will be posted on this page with a new “last updated” date. Where a change materially affects how we handle personal information, we will describe the change rather than simply replacing the text.
